THE TOBACCO CONTROL BILL

On World No Tobacco Day 2023, the Department of Health introduced the TC Bill to the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee on Health—a key milestone resulting from years of sustained advocacy by NCAS and our partners.

To date, the Committee has invited written submissions and held community-based public consultations in nineteen districts across seven provinces with six more districts in Kwa Zulu Natal and the Northen Cape to follow in March/April 2024.
